Hi All I am looking for two internal side supports, I have taken the windows out my countryman and popped steel side's back to make it a Van, I have secured from Robert Prinn the roof support but he does not have the side one's. Any one got any for sale please ?
Many thanks Brent

Re: Internal side supports
don't mind me asking but why are you converting such a rare model to look like a van, Countryman's are more valuable than vansBrent wrote:Hi All I am looking for two internal side supports, I have taken the windows out my countryman and popped steel side's back to make it a Van, I have secured from Robert Prinn the roof support but he does not have the side one's. Re: Internal side supports
Maybe for you but not for me, It started life as a van and thats the way it will finish it, however I may keep the windows just incase.

Re: Internal side supports
I think the A40 Guru was a bit misled when you called it a countryman, which was a factory produced vehicle with no roof vent, among other things.
Several people have done as you are doing, replacing the side windows cut into a van to make it look original.
I believe it is quite difficult to weld the replacement panels in without distortion, because they are so flat -how did you get on ?

Re: Internal side supports
i was worried it was a genuine Countryman & not a van conversion like our 'UOM'Dave Clark wrote:I think the A40 Guru was a bit misled when you called it a countryman, which was a factory produced vehicle with no roof vent, among other things.

Nice that you are taking it back to original.

Re: Internal side supports
Neil said that about 'UOM' but it's had side windows in since dad had them done in 1963 so i won't be doing the van back to a vanSteveClem wrote:Nice that you are taking it back to original.
