Re: A40 Farina Countryman restoration
Its looking a lot better now Nick.
Just 2 questions
What sort of equipment are you using for spraying as there does not seem to be a lot of over spray ?
And are you not going to clean the garage floor in case you get dust particles into your finished paintwork ?

the equipment i am using is a Draper 25 litre tank compressor, i'm using a Sealey S755 primer gun (nice gun) & a Devilbiss JGA suction gun for colour & final finish, i've also got a 'detail' gun/ 'mini' gun for small areas that might just need touching in.
Yes the car will be moved into a better area to paint & the floors will be swept

Good work, make sure you don't leave that spanner sitting there because it's begging to get knocked off under the car

Re: A40 Farina Countryman restoration
Nick, at least try and get some use out of it before you sell it, it's a shame after all your hard efforts just to sell it straight away.

Re: A40 Farina Countryman restoration
i've got my other two restored ones for that well the pleasure will be seeing it go to a loving home again, the last one i did & sold about 2 years ago went to Scotland & the guy who bought it is so pleased with it & he is now a club member for his second year as i pay for the first 12 months membership to the club to a new ownerTILDAS PILOT wrote:Nick, at least try and get some use out of it before you sell it, it's a shame after all your hard efforts just to sell it straight away.

Re: A40 Farina Countryman restoration
Excellent idea, restore a car to help drum up membership and encourage new enthusiasts, I hope that catches on.
Just out of curiousity, how many members of the A40 club have got larger restorations on the go

Re: A40 Farina Countryman restoration
yes i thought of it when i restored the last one & it helps to keep the club going, there are only a couple other than myself who are doing larger restorations, one is Eddy & the other is a guy who is rebuilding 'Doc' Shepherds A40 which has come to light recentlyTILDAS PILOT wrote:Excellent idea, restore a car to help drum up membership and encourage new enthusiasts, I hope that catches on.

Is this viable (will you get your money back) or are you doing it for purely philanthropic purposes....A40FARINAGURU wrote: i'm doing everything on it, well at least when it's done it will last for years,i will be selling it on once it is done
