Re: on & off rebuild finally progressing on PFF 900
Said it needed a little TLC...
I've known the car for over 30 years, it belonged to a local character from almost new who bought it at a few months old as an ex demonstrator. It came to me for repairs about 5 years ago but the owner took ill soon after and the project was shelved. A while, perhaps a year later the owner told me the car was mine to clear the account, though he was in a confused state due to his illness and the paperwork was never transferred.
Just over a year ago, George died. One of the executors contacted me and viewed the car but the interest waned when they realised it had little value and a substantial storage charge were they to wish to redeem it. I understand it had been willed to one of the other executors as a thank you for sorting his affairs. The car as it stood was incomplete as George had removed the trim for safe keeping before it arrived at mine, so I offered a donation (most of the estate was left to charity) for the return of the missing parts and the car being legally transferred to me.
