Re: Back to the 1960,s and a word of Caution
My initial reaction was that it was SU vacuum chambers on a modified Weber, but it is pretty obvious that it is a one off.
Some pretty fancy design and machining has gone on there and I suspect that there may be Weber chokes etc in there anyway.
Nick Swift is very competitive (and successful) and this shows both how inventive he is and how far he is prepared to go.
I wonder how this was assessed in relation to the regulations for that class ?
It must have passed or it would not be on show.
Any more pics please ?

One small paragraph .. won't take long to read ... and main line is "no longer in production". Looks like it was designed for the Coventry Climax engine .. so Mr Slark is being very innovative!

Re: Back to the 1960,s and a word of Caution
The DU6 was fitted mainly to Coventry Climax FPF race engines . As time went on more power could be produced from a DCOE weber carburettor that would fit onto the same manifold. As they fell out of favour the spares back up and the knowledge required diminished.
The DU6 was a twin 1 3/4 inch carb.
As from 2016 it is going back into production along with a new DU4 1 1/2 carb. Don't expect them to be cheap though.

Re: Back to the 1960,s and a word of Caution
I thought I didn't have any pictures of this...My old A35 van.It became mine in about 1983 as a swop for a MK1 Escort Sport and £100 my way. Never let me down(apart from regular master cylinder "attention". Went through the worst winters of the 1980,s as our only car, took us on Holiday and help carry the building materials to do up our our first house and the reason I now have an A30. RIP my old multi coloured van

Re: Back to the 1960,s and a word of Caution
Just a question on the replacement master cylinder. If midget brakes are fitted with an after market master cylinder, is there any issue with the brake pressure holding the pads on? On the standard master cylinder this is overcome with a small hole being introduced..
