Anyone used the kits sold by MGOC? Not sure it is taper but you would think that they were good quality?

Have you read the instructions yet? you may need to get hold of some MGB shims to take up the free play if you are not lucky first time.

I've been running these on my racecar - and while they are 'adequate' they're not brilliant.
On a roadcar I'm sure they'd be fine, though it does take a bit of fiddling to shim them properly.

Years ago I fitted Timken 30205 and 30303 (I think).

I cant remember how I did it but they were a perfect fit and lasted years .

Evo2 uses taper roller bearings which have suffered years of racing and track days without failure. Still has original bearings originally fitted to Evo1. Hubs are specially machined (for offset and Ford PCD) but closely follow Midget design, except distance spacer between bearings has been deleted.

Move to taper rollers was the right decision...
