Moto Build Exhausts
Moto Build Exhausts
Hi All
Has anyone fitted a Moto Build 2inch exhaust to their car/van, if so are they any good.
As I know people have had problems with other exhaust from different company's.
Thanks
Anthony

I haven't
I would go to an academy race and try and speak to someone. I would worry about noise levels as it's a single box . I was put off their manifold as it looks crude compared to the Maniflow IMHO
My Maniflow system fits really well now it's shortened by an inch and sounds right .

I agree , The Maniflow system is OK if not a bit pricey. There are various faults . The manifold seems to be too long and is too close to bottoming out if the car is very low . Is this because the manifold also fits the A40 as well?
The exhaust system is too long and I found I had to shorten mine by more than an inch in more than one place , also cut and had to twist one of the bends into a new position so I could tuck the system up tight against the floor pan.
Don't go thinking it will fit out of the box but it is a good starting point.

2" bore might only work on larger capacity engines too. It's not just the shape of the pipework but the size can also affect how it works.

1 3/4" or 1.75" is the norm for 1275s ... and tuned 998 and 1100 engines in the mini circuit anyway.

Re: Moto Build Exhausts
It is much cheaper than the Maniflow big bore and couldn't possibly be as difficult to fit. Speak to Darryl at Motobuild he's a really helpful chap.

Re: Moto Build Exhausts
Just reading this thead and wondered how you got on. We bought a Maniflow LCB manifold and 2 box system in 1 3/4 inch last summer. Had no problems fitting it to Melvin our 54 A30 on a 1098. Looks good and sounds great, deep exhaust note and not too loud.
Re: Moto Build Exhausts
Hi
In the end I improved/modified the exhaust that came with the van, has a modified midget manifold with a 1 3/4inch system with a maniflow box. Works great now thanks.
