Some Ford Small Block engines were manufactured at Windsor Engine Plant, Ontario, Canada. Others came from Cleveland Engine Plant, Ohio, USA. Although fundamentally very similar, some have detail changes such as firing order and different port and manifold/head stud positions between 351W and 351C.

Being an anorak isn't limited to A-series...

What a bargain that 7.5 litre engine is !

(especially if you consider the price of an Academy Ital engine (£3600 +VAT IIRC)

221,260, 289,302 and 351 were all small block displacement engines of the Windsor family, the 351c and 400m were totally different engine family, the block and heads were quite different, cams were interchangeable between C & W engines,
The boss 302 was basically a 302w with modified 351c 4v heads, 2v are a better option. The boss was never fitted to the tiger, came from factory with either a lame 260, or the much better 289,

Genuine SBF enthusiast... I'm sure you know there's a 302C as well, but it's not an American engine.

We have three SBF V8s in the collection from standard, mildly tuned crate to full race engine. All are based on 302W with 8.2" deck height. But we may venture to 351 based race engine at some point in the future...
