HI guys
Hi guys joined the club at the NEC. hoping to pick the up in the new year
it doesn't look to bad rust on rear wheel arch, door that look twisted, and bot lid that looks to big. I'll be asking for advice on how to fix these later and probably a lot of stuff that has been asked before so I'll apologise now if I go over old stuff. looking forward to getting it back on the road

Welcome aboard
We have plenty of members in your part of the world, a couple of which are occasionally on here
I think that the boot lid might be out of shape . Unusual that you have no lower rear valance

Thanks for the welcome. Rear end shunt never gave that a thought where do I need to look for evidence the wings look ok? Guess the first question I'll be asking in tech and maintenance is it fixable

I have no rear valance on mine it never had one I was informed? Don't need one anyway.

Re: HI guys
the AS3 did not have one as standard, they all make sense in it was to bridge the gap & make the rear look better & hide the bumper irons & the same applied to the Van & Countryman modelsAlan wrote:But how many make sense?

Re: HI guys
Its not the valance I’m worried about it’s the fit of the boot lid and whether the car is shorter than it should beAlan wrote:But how many make sense?

Re: HI guys
Could just be badly adjusted or it has new boot seals which is stopping it from shutting properly. The valance was quite thin metal meaning it was easy to crush. Been there ... got the t-shirt ... and no rear valance!Brummie.Steve wrote:Its not the valance I’m worried about it’s the fit of the boot lid and whether the car is shorter than it should beAlan wrote:But how many make sense?
