Donnington Saturday 15th October

Post by Edosan »

HRDC are racing at Donnington on the 15th October. I'm planning to go so just wondered if any others are likely to be there. Ed

No problem guys, really just wanted to give it some publicity especially for anyone in the Midlands area in easy reach of Donnington. Happy to fly the flag on my own if that's how it is! I'll take some photos.

Great if you do go let me know, would like to meet up as I'm following your restoration thread with great interest. Looks like you have an amazingly solid shell to start with. Ed

Great meeting, loads of A35s there, first big classic race won by Speedwell A35 ahead of Mk2 jags. Fastest car in the race was a superb A40 which was in the lead until its engine blew up. We also had another HRDC car roll in a later race, pretty sure it will need a new body shell but very reassuring how the shell and roll-cage stand up to this sort of crash. think it was the result of a tussle with a Jag which spun off quite spectacularly at the same time. My first visit to Donnington track and really enjoyed it, lovely sunny afternoon was a bonus! Have posted some photos on our Facebook page.

I was there with my family. It was my daughters 16th birthday. She got to sit in the winning a30. All very friendly and great fun to watch. Can't wait til next season.
