Thames Valley Group meeting tonight.

Post by Dave Clark »

I,m desperate for a brake light switch as the car is needed tomorrow and the present one has failed - again.

Has anyone who is going to tonight,s meeting got one please ?

I have ordered replacements and can replace any that are provided.

Hope you find one ... is that the Metro version or the existing hydraulic one?

Sorry I won't make it tonight .. driving back from north of Birmingham soon ... in the rain and tackling the M42/M40 ...

It is the hydraulic type, Gary, and no one saw the pleas in time I suspect.

Agree with Roy. That's the problem these days with new replacement electrical components. If buying new, you have to buy in bulk because you just know that premature failure is inevitable.
A couple of years ago a Spridget owner wrote about his findings when he cut a new and an Old Stock brake switch apart to compare the design. In conclusion he wondered how the flimsy design of new switch worked at all!
For electrical stuff, I now buy used old stock if I can't find NOS.
