Broken quarterlight hinge...
A broken hinge on the quarterlight is a common issue on our cars. To make a permanent repair, drill and tap a blind hole in the lug to take a stainless steel bolt. Apply locktite and screw the bolt in, then saw it off to the required length. Bingo...

The upper hinge is now available as a replacement part... However, as with all aftermarket parts they don't fit from the box. The one that I received recently had an oversized pin, meaning I needed to file out the hole to suit. The area where it mounts to the frame was also too wide for the channel and needed fettling to fit...

You have to ask why the people who ordered it in the first place accepted something that wasn't correct ?
