Unknown pickup?

Postby Richard-Essex » Wed Jul 28, 2010 1:05 pm

Spotted this on another forum, it was taken at the Welland Steam Fair near Ross-on-Wye over the weekend - I wonder if it's unknown to the club? I certainly haven't seen it before. Looks very original.

Yes, this is colin's wonderfully original, unrestored, never welded pick up!! Ive been lucky enough to drive it twice and it really is a little gem, but feels very light and fragile on those crossplies

That's the one! Whenever I hear someone from the South West I can't help but think of the Wurzels!

I have also been lucky enough to drive this pick-up. It was at the NEC classic car show a few years back, complete with a bale of hay in the back, uncleaned and unpolished and it caused quite a sensation. It is very unusual to see a running unrestored pick up. Long may it stay that way!
