Remember it well... The first ever 'reality' TV show...
The greengrocer's shop they lived over and that the matriarch worked in was on the Basingstoke Road in Reading. It was run by a guy called Michael O'Sulivan (later dropped the 'O') who'd been my father's apprentice mechanic at a garage just off Slough High Street (behind The Eagle PH...) and didn't make the grade so became a shopkeeper. Mick had a second greengrocer's shop in Reading, and was also a partner in a car hire company with my parents, though this was wound up about the time the series was filmed...
