Re: once a day classic picture thread
I'm not volunteering, but has anyone thought about going through this fantastic archive in order to note all the number plates and perhaps have a searchable database?

We do have the Model/Group Registers .. but they are kept separately at the moment .. a central database is on the list of website improvements mainly to keep this valuable information together.

It's funny looking at it like this, but that Ford is a rare machine now, if it survived.A40FARINAGURU wrote:a late MK2 Escort estate, dad had two of them, i had a MK1 Escort estateCountryboy wrote:Collecting the van from Hungerford in 1989 . It was £20 and had no wheels . Sorry for the poor quality

Re: once a day classic picture thread
Brings back happy memories of my paternal grandmother taking me out to Tavistock from Plymouth on the Western National Bristol Lodekkas same as the one in the right of the photo.....I used to like sitting right up the front and watching the driver in his single cab, hearing the engine which were very low revving...very nearly bought one of theses buses fully roadworthy in 1979 for £400 quid...... no where to put it....they fetch silly money now.....one of life's regrets....I have a few!!TILDAS PILOT wrote:Tavistock
