I think about a weeks worth of posts have disappeared. Unless it's a problem at my end? :bash:

I've asked our web master to take a look but it was obviously when our isp moved us to a new server last week ... methinks we will be looking for a new isp soon!!

You should write that down Gazza otherwise when they lose everything again, you won't remember that you wanted to leave!

Big Daddy, you're right, the PM that I received from you saying I could have a 1275 free of charge has completely disappeared!

Some dates on previous posts have been corrupted to today's date instead (Thursday March 30th).
Sorting out this mess will be fun (commiserations IT guys)...

Another website I frequent once lost four and a half years of posts, and they were paying someone to keep a daily back up copy...

There's another problem...

When attempting to post an attachment, initially this A35 website selects the wrong image file (jpeg, etc) but assigns the correct file name.

Upon the second attempt, it gets the image file correct as well...

This site is well and truly corrupted :bash:

The forum I mentioned, whilst still operational, has never recovered from the mishap (caused during a software upgrade) and is a shadow of its former self. The cock up was the death knell...

We are trying to get them to sort the mess they seem to have created. The hard part is getting them to understand WHAT they seem to have done ...

And it was all going so well ....

:(

After much head-scratching, hair pulling and a significant addition to my own grey hair collection, we think the site and forum are now stable.

But the issue of lost posts is still there. We are pretty sure they are stored in the 'old' copy of the forum but we can't just copy that over or we lose all the latest posts ... and copying a block isn't possible either.

Any idea of how many you think you might have lost (and their importance to you/the club) would help us decide whether we can look at trying to manually recreate these. Not easy but definitely something I would consider.

Many thanks all ...
