Suggestion

Post by Cyril »

Can we maybe have a section to list cars that have been stolen? There seems a few posted on FB and as my friends no I like cars they post them to me, it would be handy as we are all over the country for us to have a place to share these. Am talking an make of car.. The one I have just been told about today is a Moggie traveller stolen from Leigh lancs today.

It sounds like a good suggestion to me, you can make a new thread entitled something like 'Stolen Vehicles' And your friends Moggie can be the starter. And anyone can add to it anything they hear about.

You can "Bookmark" a thread, this means that in your control panel it will list it in the section "Manage Bookmarks", this is a way of remembering threads...................

To do this go to the bottom of the page and check the box "Bookmark", "Subscribe" is another option, this sends an email when a reply is posted.

Not sure about a separate section or a "Sticky", not sure all folk like the number of sections that we already have................

You could always create a "Poll" and ask others

I assume the owners of the stolen vehicles could be contacted to let them know this could be done, also hopefully they would notify us if the stolen vehicle(s) were recovered one way or the other. It would be a shame to have the legal owner arrested for a misunderstanding and thinking he or she stole their own (recovered car), if you get my drift.

Communication is a good thing..........

Yes of course the legal owner would be notified, I asked her before I posted here.

Seems to me that anyway we can help a stolen car be found, we should do it, a sticky in the main section just while there is an active post ie a car still stolen is surely not asking too much, but ok I will bookmark it.

Lynsey, if it gets low down the thread listing or off the page you can always "Bump" it back to the top
