Hi Neil
It wouldn't have been with out your technical advice and help.
Question
Should fullbeam oil and other light only light up when engine is running
One of the failures was that full beam light indicator wasn't working
So put all new bulbs in only one wo ring is ignition light
Checked all connections to bulb fitments c aren't find poor. connection.
Do the bulb holders have a live feed from. Some where.
A provisional auto electrician fitted the wiring loom. And all worked before hence thinking
It's a poor connection
I
Once more. I would appreciate your esteemed advice

Full beam when headlamp switch is operated, oil light will light up when the ignition is turned on, no need for engine to be running, not sure what 'other light' is?

Full beam light should work when the lights are on, regardless of the engine running...

Oil light only comes on when ignition is on and engine stopped, unless oil pressure is low or switch is faulty. With ignition on, remove the wire from the oil light pressure switch on the engine and touch it to earth and the light should come on. If it does the switch is faulty...

The oil light has a live feed on the 'green' circuit. If the fuel gauge, wipers, heater etc are working the feed is ok...

Some had a fourth "jewel" with nothing behind it. On the A40 Mk1, it was used with the indicators, but the others were moved around too.

Main beam light could well be the earth wire missing from the speedo head. There's a bunch of black wires in a single terminal that should be located under the left hand speedo retaining clamp nut...

The light is probably dim as it's finding an earth through another route, possibly a second bulb...
