Re: Racing or Non-acid Batteries
Steven,s battery is VERY much smaller than almost any lead acid battery I have seen.
From memory it is about 15 amp hours, so, as he said, no churning to start(but it has never given any trouble)

Re: Racing or Non-acid Batteries
Topic worthy of further investigation. We are always seeking cost-effective ways to reduce mass on the racers...

Here's mine
Held in place with a little steel strap I knocked up.
I can't see the need to put a heavy battery and leads running to it at the rear of a car these days

Re: Racing or Non-acid Batteries
I used an Odyssey battery on my BMW bike after two Bosch batteries could not supply the voltage necessary to activate the ABS - no further trouble up until I sold the bike

CB - Do you know part number of your Odyssey battery please
Re: Racing or Non-acid Batteries
I'm surprised you were able to prise the steel from said wallet, much less drill holes & fashion into something useful!Countryboy wrote:ThanksBig Daddy wrote:Very neat installation...Countryboy wrote:Here's mine - Held in place with a little steel strap I knocked up.
