Editorial in another club's mag confirms Bigdaz's finding that DVLA no longer provide this service. Hoping fbhvc will intervene to press for its return.

The new EU version of Data Protection .. could destroy a company who loses data as the fines are humongous! (large in other words!) .. it's likely to one of the laws kept after Brexit as it would be cost prohibitive to most companies to change it again.

We, the Club, are probably small enough not to have to implement it to the letter but it is behind a lot of my thinking and enhancements for the website ..

If you suffer from insomnia, go get a job as an Information Security Manager .. yawn!

Not wishing to high jack thread, but positive side of GDPR is that it is designed to rein in the likes of Google and Facebook..... this article https://pagefair.com/blog/2017/gdpr_ris ... e_duopoly/ is a bit dry, but gives an overview.
Problem is that Goverment departments (DVLA) who actually are normally OK at looking after our data, will impliment these regs to the letter or even further.....

Real shame as history of vehicle is so intresting
