I think if anyone has fitted these they made their own spacer. A40 8" conversion is much easier.

would be if there were any a40 backplates for sale !

I have made several of these conversions.

Good engineering practice is to machine the spacer with a locating lip but this requires good accuracy if the backplate is not to be slightly off centre.

My solution was to make the locating holes a little oversize, make a spacer without the lip and then assemble it all with the backplate bolts just nipped up. Then by firmly pressing on the brake pedal the backplate was automatically centred. Then the bolts can be finally tightened.
