Workshop Manual

Post by NICKVANPRAAG »

Does anyone have a pdf copy of the workshop manual? Would that be handy? I have a copy but like to have a pdf version that I could keep with me at all time. I could scan mine if no one else has it.

Wow now thats a thought copy on PDF! Couldnt we as a club get that done? Who has the copyright anyway now the makers are gone? Surely permission would be given! Theres not that many of us in the greater picture to try to screw us down on price otherwise we would back off wouldnt we?
Food for thought this one dudes!

B.M.I.H.T may know who holds the copyrights, they may be owned by whoever owns the Austin marque?

I usually have two workshop manuals for my cars. A house copy and a garage copy. Easy enough to come by and not too expensive.

Yeah I have a copy for garage and a house copy,...............but a PDF would be a major advantage! you woulnt have to let any one borrow a copy you would be able to e-mail the whole thing or print the relevant pages off for the garage etc Could even have a copy via our site to be used!

Found a link to all the Lucas stuff about all things electric. Think someone put it up in new zealand. It was extensive, think it was apprentice information, loads about setting up regulators :-)

I too have 2 copies - The blue bound one is the good room reference book to decide how many cups of tea will be needed, the plastic ring binder volume with loose leafs is the 'working copy'. I just slide in the relevant pages into the plastic wallet sleeves for A4 folders.

I picked up a copy on dvd of ebay a couple of years ago.
And it covered quiet a few things aswell as the workshop manual.
And was very happy with it, so if anyone wants a copy let me know all it would cost is a dvd and p/p.

I only searched for A30... but I'm sure others are out there if you search long enough :)

harleybri,

You should have an email with a password and username to login under the Members' Area .. once you have done that you need the second login and password that is shown in the login page .. and can then get to the Past Publications section.
