OK the crank and gearbox is all wrong and the exhaust will need a tweak .. but this is a complete Mini K1200 conversion apart from a flywheel which we couldn't use anyway .. if you have deep pockets (and access to facebook!)

Sort of makes sense on a Mini when you are stuck with that transverse gearbox and A-series block mounted on it... :whistle:

It's not unusual to see Minis with alternative drive trains. A friend of James' is fitting a Honda VTec unit in one...

Invariably alternative drive trains are wider because the gearbox sits beside the engine rather than underneath it. For feasible drive shaft articulation, Mini is forced into widened track along with completely revised front suspension and steering. Those changes are radical :!:

Alternatively could always adopt Zcars solution of putting engine in back of a Mini, for superior Right Wheel Drive (Right = Rear)... :thumbs:

BMW head on an A-series is a bit tame for him .. putting a Dodge Viper V10 in a mobility scooter is more his idea of a challenge ... :rol:
