One of our engineers at work passed away in his sleep this week, funeral's on Monday :cry:
Adios Richard, not sure if the current restructure would have seen you looking for work, but certainly wonder if the stress of the situation had anything to do with the outcome. Very sad...

Sometimes a long innings can be tricky too...my mum's 89 and just been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. All we get now is 'I wish I'd died last year '. But within a minute she's forgotten.
Life is a peculiar mixture of ups and downs :(

Yes there's definitely a balance. Depart when your time (ie general capability) has expired but hopefully not before... :thumbs:

I'd say late 50's... certainly shorter innings than would be fair.

Apparently 20% of men die before the age of 65 (Developed World). In third world countries, mortality is much higher. So dying in your 50s is not that unusual - several of my contemporaries already have... :whistle:
